    This is a belated review from early July. This is my second visit to Barcelona Wine Bar in Brookline. My first visit was great, but this topped it. The attentiveness of the staff and restaurant manager, the quality of the delicious food, the sangria, and oh-my-goodness the FLAN!!!!...I'll definitely return and now consider this my favorite tapas restaurant. I just wish I traveled here more than a few times a year.

    Decent tapas chain in Boston with a wide variety of dishes. The charcuterie and cheese selection is alright, and the bread served to the table is delicious. Out the tapas dishes, the eggplant and beef tartare were the standouts. As someone who doesn't like eggplant, the dish was great on bread, with terrific flavor. The ribeye was solid, but a bit small as a dish. The meatballs are also great with the tomato sauce, but quite generic. The burrata salad was the most disappointing, with barely any greens accompanying it at a $13 price point. The paella was also mediocre, albeit decently sized for the half portion. Prices can be hit or miss with the dishes, with some feeling more worth than others. Service was slow and hard to get ahold of at times, but they made up for it with complementary dessert - both the flan and chocolate cake were tasty and great for sharing. Not a bad experience overall, but it greatly depends on what you order.

    This is awkward. We jumped right into the incredibly fresh bread with a crusty outside and chewy inside with flavorful olive oil on the side. The sangria, red in this case, was wonderful. It's the first time I haven't taken pictures of a meal in years. Next, we had the muscles, the Iberian ham and delicious shrimp and garlic olive oil that we sopped up with our bread. The food was simply tasty and fresh. We selected nine or 10 top dishes and devoured every one. Fresh and well crafted. I love service execution at restaurants. The service at Barcelona in Brookline was excellent. We were greeted at our seats within 60 seconds. There was constant attention. Plates were cleared and dishes were served hot and timely. Two different managers checked in on us. That is simply excellent and execution, and I truly appreciate it . 19 July 24 visit. An excellent choice of Spanish wines. Truly enjoyed this experience.

    Here I found some fun atmosphere and tasty food. Fries and eggplant caponata were a little oily for my taste but overall good food. Chocolate cake is not too sweet and it has a nice crunch on top.
